Communities in South Staffordshire will soon be able to benefit from a £65,000 funding scheme.

The money, granted to South Staffordshire Council by West Midlands Interchange, will be available for eligible community projects to aid those living within a three-mile radius of the business site.

Locations which have communities within the inclusion zone include Penkridge, Brewood, Coven, Stretton, Gailey, Slade Heath, Saredon and more.

Leader of South Staffordshire Council, Cllr Roger Lees, said: “I’m delighted our residents will be able to benefit from this funding.

“The money will be available to assist with a range of community and local issues, so I’d absolutely encourage anyone within the inclusion area to find out more when further details are released and make the most of this scheme.”

Further information on the funding pot – including the eligibility criteria - will be released in the new year.
