Local Plan Consultation
Engagement with our communities and stakeholders has always been a very important part of the planning process in South Staffordshire.
New Consultation System
We now have an online consultation system which allows you to submit comments direct, keep track of your responses to different stages of Local Plan consultations and to see comments made by other people and organisations once the consultation is closed.
How to Register
It's very simple to sign up. If you have made comments to previous Local Plan consultations your email address should already be in the system. If so, when you try to create your account, your email address will be recognised and you will see the message ‘That email address already exists. Did you want to log in instead?' If this happens, go to login, enter your email address and click ‘I can't remember my password'. This will prompt an email to you where you will be able to set your own password.
If you are new to making comments, or we only have your postal address, you will need to register. Just click on the link below and follow the simple steps to set up your account.
Help Making Comments on Preferred Options
The best way to make a representation/comment is to navigate to the Preferred Options document: https://sstaffs.oc2.uk/. Click on the document to open it, and then using the headings listed, navigate to the relevant part(s) of the document you wish to respond to. Once you have found these, then you will see a purple comment box (that illustrates the guided questions) with a speech mark icon alongside it. Clicking on that speech mark icon allows you to start drafting your response NB if you are not logged in to your account at this point you will be asked to do so.
A helpful User Guide has been produced which may assist: https://sstaffs.oc2.uk/instructions. You can then make your comment, and any work you do will automatically save as you go along. Therefore if you are only part way through writing your representation and unexpectedly need to leave the page, or the internet crashes, all your work up to that point will be saved. To resume working on it, either use the steps outlined above to navigate back to the same question, and you can pick up your response.
Alternatively, simply log in to your account https://sstaffs.oc2.uk/login and navigate to your account page. You can do this by logging in and clicking your name in the top right-hand corner of the page. From there, you will see your page and you should see your draft representation(s) saved under the ‘drafts' tab. You can then go into these and amend/continue as required, using the ‘resume' button, before submitting.

You can also view the Preferred Options and make comments direct to Local Plans Consultation
