Statement of Community Involvement
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
The Council is required to prepare a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This sets out how, when, with whom and by what means the Council will engage with stakeholders and residents in the preparation of our local planning documents and on decisions on planning applications.
The SCI has been reviewed to take account of recent changes in legislation and guidance and is now subject to a formal period of consultation.
Consultation *NOW CLOSED*
We consulted on revisions to our SCI for a period of 8 weeks beginning on Monday 8 October until 5pm on Friday 30 November 2018. We hope to publish responses to the consultation in the next few weeks.
The Strategic Planning Team manages and maintains a register of persons who have an interest in local planning documents (Local Plan Database); those who wish to register land for future development on our Self and Custom Build Register and/or Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA); and regarding Empty Properties. In order to do this in an effective way we will need to collect and use personal information about you. For more information about how we process this data see Strategic Planning Team - Data Protection.
