Trees and hedges
This page sets out information on protected trees and hedgerows.
We look after:
- protected trees - in conservation areas or subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO).
- people affected by high hedges
- hedgerows in the countryside
If you would like to check if a tree or hedge is protected by a TPO or is within a conservation area, please contact trees@sstaffs.gov.uk
When contacting us, please explain where the tree(s) or hedge is located and if possible include a location plan. (This can be an annotated Google Map).

If you have an enquiry or are requesting for work to be carried out to a tree(s) or hedge on public open space or council land, please see the council's tree policy service request.
