Are you (or your partner) homeless or threatened with homelessness within the next 56 days?
Are you (or your partner) currently living in South Staffordshire and you have done so continually for the last 2 years, or you are one of the following exempt groups? Currently fleeing domestic abuse, a care leaver or a veteran of the regular armed forces
Are you (or your partner) employed in permanent employment, and have to travel in excess of 1 hour to get to that employment, in a contract of 16 hours per week or more and have done so for at least the last 2 years?
Do you (or your partner) have a close family (normally considered to be a mother, father, brother, sister, or adult son or daughter) that have lived in the district for a minimum of the last 5 years In addition, you need to be in the South Staffordshire district to give or receive essential support to or from that close family?
Do you (or your partner) have more than £1,000 of current or former housing rent arrears, or another relevant recoverable housing related debt?
Have you (or your partner) committed anti-social behaviour, been convicted of using your property for illegal or immoral purposes or been evicted from a social or private tenancy for breach of tenancy conditions, in the last 5 years?
Do you (or your partner) have a total household income of £50,000 gross per year, or more that £16,000 in savings or investments?
Do you (or your partner) own any property in the UK or elsewhere?
Have you (or your partner) been removed from the housing register in the last 12 months for withholding or giving false information, or because you have refused 2 suitable offers of accommodation?

Unlikely to be eligible

We are sorry but it is unlikely you will be eligible to join our housing register based on the answers you have given. However, you may be eligible to apply for social housing directly with one of the housing providers operating in our area, these include:

If you have housing related debt, we recommend you contact your current or previous landlord and put a payment plan in place to work towards clearing the debt. The citizens advice team and other support organisation can also help you if you need support to do this. Find out more.
