Walking at Baggeridge Country Park

Independent walking trails and weekly instructor-led wellbeing walks are available at Baggeridge Country Park.

There are four independent trails around Baggeridge Country Park, of varying levels of distance and difficulty. These are: 

  • Easy Access – approximately 30 minutes. 
  • Toposcope Trail – approximately 45 minutes. 
  • Baggeridge Circular Walk – approximately one hour. 
  • Baggeridge Wood Walk – approximately one hour and 30 minutes. 

Trail maps are available from the teashop or rangers office or you can download a copy below. 

Free instructor-led wellbeing walks 

Baggeridge host a range of free instructor-led wellbeing walks at Baggeridge Country Park. 

Walks led by our qualified instructors are:  

  • Grade two moderately paced monthly walk, Thursdays, 10am start  

    • Shorter, moderate paced walk  

    • May include steeper slopes, steps, uneven surfaces, and stiles so please wear comfortable shoes. 

  • Grade three weekly walk, Thursdays, 10am start  
    • Approximately 90-minute walk 

    • May include steeper slopes, steps, uneven surfaces, and stiles so please wear comfortable shoes. 

  • Progressive monthly walk: First Tuesday of every month, 10am start  
    • Progressive walk for experienced walkers 

There is no need to book, just turn up and meet at the bandstand.  

If you are a new walker, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first session to allow time to register.  

Car parking charges apply.
