Business start up support

If you are thinking of starting a business, or you have recently taken the step into self-employment, Start in South Staffs can help you to access the most recent information and support to help your business flourish and grow.

Small businesses are essential to our economy, and the Business Hub recognises that the first two years of trading are the most critical for a new business.

Start in South Staffs provides practical advice and guidance for budding entrepreneurs and businesses which have been trading for up to two years.

New businesses can benefit from a bespoke programme of support and workshops designed to equip new business owners with the fundamental tools and knowledge required to run a successful business.

Start in South Staffs offers new start-ups from the district the chance to join online or in-person sessions, while also benefiting from one-to-one support.

Following completion of the scheme, eligible businesses may also be able to access grant funding of up to £1000 to support with start-up costs.

We can help with:

  • Support starting up a new business
