Image New Wolverhampton-Staffordshire Economic Growth Zone vision explored at UKREiiF Released: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 The three councils behind the i54 business park - the UK’s most successful enterprise zone - have connected with national advisors and partners at a UKREiiF roundtable to help shape the vision for a potential new economic growth zone in Wolverhampton and Staffordshire. Image South Staffordshire Council levels up with new partners Community Home Solutions offering £200k funding to support households to lower energy bills South Staffordshire Council has partnered with Community Home Solutions Ltd to support local residents by retrofitting fully funded energy efficiency measures to improve household energy performance and reduce the cost of bills. This includes roof insulation, wall insulation, upgraded heating systems and solar panels; all completely free! Image Ageing Well Summit event hosted by South Staffordshire Council South Staffordshire Council hosted a Working Better Together Ageing Well Summit where partners were invited to attend and hear from specialised guest speakers, before engaging in insightful discussions during the workshop sessions. Image Landywood Station car park closed from 10th-17th June Resurfacing and relining work to take place at Landywood Station car park. Image Service spotlight: Bereavement services The council owns and manages two cemeteries in the district: Sytch Lane Cemetery in Wombourne and Strawberry Lane Cemetery in Great Wyrley.
