The Local Plans Team is part of a wider Planning Team which also covers housing strategy, planning enforcement and development management. The Team is responsible for the preparation of planning policy in South Staffordshire, which includes our Local Plan. Working with key stakeholders, local communities and colleagues across the Council, the Strategic Planning Team contributes to the Council's corporate aims and objectives in improving the environment and shaping the places where we live.
The Local Plans team does not deal with planning applications. If you would like to know whether or not you need planning permission for a proposal, please contact Development Management for Planning Advice, telephone 01902 696000 or email email@example.com.

The Strategic Planning Team manages and maintains a register of persons who have an interest in local planning documents (Local Plan Database); those who wish to register land for future development on our Self and Custom Build Register and/or Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA); and regarding Empty Properties. In order to do this in an effective way we will need to collect and use personal information about you. For more information about how we process this data see Strategic Planning Team - Data Protection.
