Planning Policy
The Local Plans Team is part of a wider Strategic Planning Team which also covers housing strategy and energy conservation. The Team is responsible for the preparation of planning policy in South Staffordshire, which includes our Local Plan. Working with key stakeholders, local communities and colleagues across the Council, the Strategic Planning Team contributes to the Council's corporate aims and objectives in improving the environment and shaping the places where we live.

The Strategic Planning Team manages and maintains a register of persons who have an interest in local planning documents (Local Plan Database); those who wish to register land for future development on our Self and Custom Build Register and/or Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA); and regarding Empty Properties.
